Mental health Literacy Report
More than one-in-ten (12%) Canadians believe that “people with mental disorders don’t try hard enough to get better”.
This report presents an analysis of the data collected concerning Mental Health Literacy as part of our national survey project, summarizing information collected from January 2023 to August 2023. The primary objective of this report is to offer valuable insights into the three aspects encompassed by Mental Health Literacy: knowledge, reducing prejudice, and seeking help.
The Mental Health Literacy Quiz consists of five true or false questions that assess knowledge about mental illness and its treatment. It also includes four questions: a Likert scale addressing attitudes and stigma related to mental health and two more Likert scale questions about seeking help.
