Mental Health Research Canada is a research organization: meaning we fund research to advance knowledge in mental health, but we do not provide direct services.
There are however a large number of validated, free resources you can turn to if you are in need of support. We’ve listed a few key ones below, click on the logos to visit their websites.
Wellness Together Canada is the Canadian Government's official, free mental health portal. You can use it to access direct support from a licensed therapist for free, or explore its various resources.
Kid's Help Phone is a national crisis line designed to connect children and youth with emergency support via phone or text.
Crisis Service Canada is a national network of suicide and distress hotlines. You can call them any time at 833-456-4566 to receive support.
Find a therapist near you using Psychology Today's Find A Therapist tool which lets you search by zip code. It will show you the therapist's certifications, specialties and accepted insurance providers to ensure you find someone that meets your needs.
Not Myself Today is a social enterprise of the Canadian Mental Health Association, National, created to help reduce stigma and support mental health at work.
