Is a talented, results-producing Professional with a proven 30 + year track record of accomplishment in planning and leading comprehensive development strategies in support of business goals and objectives. In her career she has had the pleasure of working for national, provincial and local organizations.   She has been responsible for raising millions and millions of dollars for various organizations. She has held leadership positions as Executive Director, Director of Development and Chief Development Officer for numerous charities. Katherine received a degree in Political Science/ Policy Studies from York University. Further Studies include the Max Bell Public Policy Institute and BrainStation Digital Marketing.

Some of Katherine’s significant projects have included: the founding of Canada’s Top 20 under 20 Program, developing Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s $10M National Research Campaign and managing Covenant House’s $10M Just Like a Girl You Know (Sex Trafficking) Campaign.  Her expertise includes directing the creation of marketing and communication tools and steering the execution of development programs. She has a solid background in program development inclusive of budgets, logic models, program design and outcome measurement. Demonstrated success in driving growth in targeted markets through implementation of key projects. Solid leadership skills; able to build and guide top-performing development teams.

Her path has provided the opportunity to manage and oversee various projects and portfolios including agency expansion, major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation giving, government funding, events, sponsorship, membership, communications and other programs. 

Katherine has recognized throughout her career and in her life the importance of mental health. Various programs and moments, with agencies she has worked with, have responded to mental health issues for the disabled, youth, homeless, severely ill, and marginalized individuals. Personally, she has helped family members navigate the complex system of mental health response and supports. She has undertaken Suicide Intervention and Crisis/ Emotional support training. Mental Health is a basic human right- full stop!

In addition, Katherine serves as a Director for the Toronto Foundation for Student Success and is the Odaake Kwe (Administrative Director) for the Indigenous Women’s Fund of Canada.
